
Parish Council News
The Parish Council meets in
Boscastle Village Hall on the second Thursday of each month.
Planning meetings may also be held between these dates if required.
Meetings start at 7.00pm. Members of the public are welcome to
attend and they may address the Council during the first ten minutes of
the meeting.
Unitary Authority
Cornwall has been granted unitary authority and District Councillor Janey
Comber has asked the Parish Council if they would be prepared to join Camelford
Town Council and various other Parish Councils to join one of the two pilot
schemes that are to be set up as a community network partnership. The Parish
Council has indicated their willingness to participate in such a scheme.
Telephone Box
BT has agreed that it may be possible to install a temporary
pay telephone in the Visitor Centre until the permanent one is placed in the
Gateway building.
Playground
The opening ceremony has been postponed until Spring of 2008.

One Cornwall Elections
We will become Cornwall Council on the 1st April and there will initially be 6 Members from NCDC and
6 from Caradon District Council. They are looking to elect a Chairman at
Liskeard on 23rd April and the meetings will be held on the following dates.
Things will change again after the June elections.
The Councillors from NCDC will be Cllr Brewer, Cllr Mutton, Cllr Jolly, Cllr
Facks Martin, Cllr Jamie Comber and Cllr Nigel Pearce.

14th May – Camelford Office
28th May – Caradon Office, Liskeard
23rd July – Camelford Office
13th August – Caradon Office, Liskeard
3rd September – Camelford Office
24th September – Caradon Office, Liskeard
15th October – Camelford Office
5th November – Caradon Office, Liskeard
All these meetings will be held at 5.00 pm
