Came to live in Boscastle in 1980. Works as an
interviewer for a market and social research company. Currently secretary
of Boscastle Branch WEA. Has been a member of the editorial team of the
Blowhole since its inception. Particularly interested in environmental
issues. Enjoys natural and local history, gardening and music.

Arthur Bannister 01840 250123
(Chairman)
A retired building consultant. He is Vice-Chairman of
the Village Hall Committee and Associate Editor of the Blowhole. First came
to Boscastle in 1960. Returned each year until settling in the village
about seven years ago. Is interested in architecture, local history and the
countryside.

Pat Day 01840 250436
Has lived in the village since 1964, originally as
Warden of the Youth Hostel. Now semi-retired from her work as a gardener.
Particularly concerned with environmental matters. Caretaker of the Village
War Memorial and a keen advocate of the Best Kept Village
Competition. Has served on the Parish Council for 24 years.

George Findlay 01840 250428
Born in the neighbouring parish of Trevalga in 1940.
Educated at Boscastle C.P School and Sir James Smiths Grammar School
Camelford. Farmed in Trevalga until moving to Boscastle about 12 years ago.
Uses his skills in various ways; gardening, walling, metal fabrication. Has been a Parish Councillor for about ten years and
Tree Warden for most of that time. Is an occasional guide as leader of
walks around Boscastle. Member of the Village Hall Committee and an active
supporter of the Best Kept Village Competition.

Royston Hancock 01840 250304
A farmer who has lived in the village all his life.
Educated at Boscastle School and the former Camelford Grammar School. He
has been a Councillor for 6 years. Has been interested and involved in
community affairs throughout his life.
Anthony Brewer 01840 250304
Reddivallen Farm, Boscastle age 50. Born at Trewince, St
Issey near Wadebridge. Head boy at Wadebridge Comprehensive
School. Farmed with family at Trewince before moving to Reddivallen
Farm. A member of St Issey Parish Council for 14 years and a North
Cornwall District Councillor for 2 years. Vice-Chairman and Groundsman
for Boscastle F.C.

Chris Jarvis 01840 250312
Trained at St Bartholomew's Hospital. Briefly in
the Royal Air Force as a Medical Officer and later working in Canada.
Joined Tintagel-Boscastle practice in 1979, Had previously worked at
the Royal Cornwall Hospital, that's how I became attached to Cornwall. I
have worked with sport, originally with cycling and with teams at a
number of Olympic, Paralympic and Commonwealth Games and World
Championships. I am a member of the British Olympic Association Medical
Committee, Medical Advisor to the Commonwealth Games Council for
England.

Chris Rodda 01840 250012Born to an army
family in India. Parents moved to St Minver in 1948. Schools: Tredrizzick
CP, St Bonifice's College Plymouth, Bodmin Grammar School. Teacher/Lecturer
30 years, St Austell College, Sir James Smith's School Camelford. I am now
retired. Also sometime librarian, personnel officer, market researcher,
postman, pottery assistant, quality control inspector, failed writer.

Ian Dawson 01840 250416
Born in the "Black Country" then lived and worked in
Hampshire. In 1985 became resident of Boscastle and married in 1991. A
Parent Governor at Boscastle CP School, acting on Health & Safety and
Buildings Committee also ASA Child Welfare Officer for stingers -
Camelford swimming club. Began career as engineering technician with
major US company, then set up own business. Semi retired due to
ill-health, returned to full time education. Obtained first class
honours degree (M.Eng) and First prize in British Institute of Steel
design competition.

Nanette Little 01840 250291Born and raised at Edwinstowe, Nottinghamshire. ( the
village is the home of the Major Oak and legend of Robin Hood). Arrived
Boscastle 22 years ago for a job interview at the Riverside Hotel,
having studied Hotel and Catering at college, and had never looked back.
